Mrs Lewis Petry of Nelson died at St Josephs Boonville Thursday evening 1234 at 7 o clock from cancer after Tuesday operation by Dr Van Ravana which failed. Funeral held at Presbyterian church Saturday at 1 pm Rev W F Price Napton presiding. Survivors include husband several sons and large family circle. She was a devoute Presbyterian and well regarded.

Elizabeth A Burnett of Marshall area died Friday near 20 miles south of Marshall after a brief pneumonia illness. Born May 22, 1851 at Spring, she would have turned 63 next month. She was wife of Marian D Burnett, mother to adopted daughter Mrs Rumans, and widow of John Lille Was married in 1887. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church with Elder D B T Wharton officiating and burial at Ridge Park cemetery.

Godfrey Eberle, called Dutch by friends, died at his home near Sharomat Saturday morning after a long illness. He was about 70, formerly lived near Malta Bend, later in Slater. Survived by five children. A veteran of the Civil War, he was remembered as a genial gentleman. Remains laid to rest in Malta Bend Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday.
