Nearly a centenarian leader and father of Mrs Kate Hartsock died at his Bardolph home on Saturday evening June 1 1912 aged 99 years 1 month 20 days. A lifelong Methodist, staunch Republican, and generous town benefactor he was the oldest and leading citizen. Mel Hartsook is his oldest daughter who had lived with him recently. He was not sick, but passed peacefully.
