He is survived by wife and children Andrew John William Mrs. Richardson, Harry and Miss Georgia Cross, 22 grandchildren. Civil War veteran, Odd Fellows member, funeral led by Rev. Wynn.

Five children survive and his second wife Hicks of Kentucky also survived He had long been a reader of the Republican and was noted as a gentleman A Napton and Marshall visitor he attended Napleon Baptist church and his funeral was held at the Napleon Baptist church Monday at 2 pm.

Mrs Overton Lewis Dies After Operation In KC Hospital
Mrs Overton Lewis died in a Kansas City hospital Tuesday from complications of an operation. She was formerly Miss May Robertson of Kansas City and was the daughter in law of Add Lewis of this city. The remains were brought to Marshall and laid to rest in Ridge Park cemetery yesterday.

David Gra ham Phillips died at Bellevue Hospital after sustaining six bullet wounds from Fitzhugh Coyle Goldsborough a musician who shot him yesterday over a grudge. Phillips fought to live and remained conscious until shortly before death with his sister Mrs. Carolyn Frevert and brother Harrison Phillips at his bedside along with doctors Eugene Fuller and others.

The Northern Pacific Railway special car with an agricultural exhibit from Northwestern estates drew hundreds on Wednesday. District Passenger Agent D B Gardner of St Louis along with immigration agents John M Fox and H D Bryning oversaw the display, touring the Mose Land mill area. The exhibit promoted settlement across 40 million acres of government lands in Minnesota North Dakota Montana Northern Idaho Washington and Oregon traversed by the Northern Pacific. The exhibit urged Americans to claim land under US law and highlighted the mild northern climate and opportunities, hoping to redirect western migration northward.
