Archibald Montgomery, a respected Slater citizen, died last Friday January 46 after a months long illness. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon with Elder W. T. Henson and Rev. W. P. Clark officiating. Interment followed at City Cemetery under the Knights of Pythias, of which he was an honored member.

Obituary of William Homer of Brown County Kansas
William Homer born 1859 Brown County Kansas died January 6 1911 after lingering illness in Gilliam. He moved to Missouri at 16 and first married Sarah Copeland February 21 1875. They had three children Mrs Will Gilliam Rufus and Frank. After her death he married Lillie Gibson November 15 1903 and had Rosie Florence Katie and Homer. He joined Rehoboth Church as a young man and read his Bible much. He suffered pain often intensely. The writer visited him.

Deadly Coal Oil Fatal Fire In Nashville Kansas
The death of Fred Poister, son of Mr and Mrs A C Poister of Bear Arrow Rock, in Nashville Kansas, is reported after a coal oil accident on December 30. The home burned as the oil exposed him, he died that evening. The baby perished from pneumonia after fleeing in nightgowns. Poister, 27, was raised near Little Rock and described as industrious and devout.

Narrow escape for Miss Edmonia Fleischman at Warrensburg

Accidents Split Local Residents with Notable Falls
