Deaths Mrs Martin Oelschlager and Gyen Johnson

Mrs Martin Oelschlager died at the Aug Oelschlager home on Saturday January 19 in her 60s. She was formerly Helena Fischer and funeral services were held at the Lutheran Cross Church. Gyen Johnson of Elmwood died Wednesday morning January 0 1907 of paralysis after a week of illness. services were at the home and interment at Poe Cemetery. J M Lindsey and John Jutio formed a wagonmaking partnership and rented C L Ryan’s former shop. notice appears in the ad section.

Fire hits Missouri Colony laundry complex

A gasoline explosion at the Missouri Colony laundry Thursday morning set a blaze that destroyed the kitchen, laundry basement, bakeshop, cold storage, and grocery room. Damages are reported between $80,000 and $00,000 with no insurance. Miss Lida Barker, 20, from St. Louis, suffered burns but escaped serious injury as fire crews demolished connecting passageways to save adjacent buildings.
