A Marshall bank was shaken by a theft report after a junior employee admitted long term irregularities in accounts. The 90 dollar monthly salary man allegedly faked figures to cover 3458 dollars of losses, later compensated by relatives. He is not arrested and remains out of work under bond protection.

Died for Friend Heroic Glasgow Girl Sacrifices Life
Miss Annie May Digges of Glasgow died saving her friend Miss Louise Arthur from a freight train on the west approach of the Chicago and Alton bridge. Arthur escaped with bruises while two other young women were unhurt. Digges was crushed and killed. The town mourns her.
