Richard M Allen Died at Home Near Marshall Missouri
Richard Morton Allen died at his home nine miles east of Marshall at 1130 p m Tuesday February 18 1902 after suffering pneumonia and heart failure. Born in Jessamine County Kentucky November 1841 he moved to Saline County Missouri in 1860 and resided there since. He married Julia Johns of Higginsville about seventeen years ago and is survived by five brothers and two sisters with relatives in Adrian Bates County and Lexington Kentucky. A consistent Christian church member his death is described as a happy triumph of the faith. Funeral was held at Coreen Church near Marshall February 20 at 1 pm with burial at Ridge Park Cemetery.
