Mrs. M B Peavler died in Mounds Oklahoma on Thursday January 25 at 67 of endocarditis. Her remains were shipped to Marshall for funeral at Mt Carmel Sunday conducted by Rev Barrett of Miami. Burial followed at Mt Carmel. She had eight surviving children from her first marriage to Mr Peace of Kentucky. She wed J S Peavier in 1896 and lived near Marshall then Fontes before settling in the county where she made many friends.

John M. Piper died suddenly at his residence Tuesday night at 8 after helping move a tub of dishes. A native of Arrow Rock, he was 65, survived by his wife of 40 years and four sons and a daughter. He was a longtime member of the MBR Church South. funeral services were set but details were incomplete in the clipping.

Mrs Lucy Ann Dickerson of the Pleasant Dicker son home area died Friday January 2 1912 of pneumonia at age 81 born in Virginia May 14 1930 she married Pleasant Dicker son April 3 1915 who preceded her about 16 years ago nine children with six surviving John Frederick Riley Mrs Catherine Dutton Mrs Sarah Hicks and Mrs Ida Collins among others she joined the Antioch Baptist Church in 1855 and was respected for her faith and charity. After a short church service she was laid to rest beside her husband awaiting the final resurrection.

CHAS HOLT died at his home in Owensville January 21 1912 at nine o’clock p m. He was born August 2 1882 in Franklin county and married Josie Reed February 15 1904 in Owensville. Four children survived with his wife and three other relatives. He belonged to Owensville Catholic church M W A Camp 26 6 and was buried January 23 in the Catholic cemetery southeast of town with Woolmen honors.

Funeral held Wednesday at the Christian church with Rev O B Fox officiating and burial in Paola Cemetery.

H. S. Hayner died at his home in Kansas City Saturday morning after a period of illness. A funeral was held at Gilliam Morday. About twenty years ago he rashly attempted to rob the Gilliam bank and was overpowered and arrested by Mr. Kirk, a deed he spent years trying to atone for.

An elderly resident of the Cretcher neighborhood named Mrs Walbourn, about 82, was brought from Nevala asylum this past Sunday. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. C. Bolton at Antioch last Wednesday January 24, with her remains interred in Antioch afterward.

Doctors Stutchfield Hall Connell Narria performed surgery to remove a shard of skull pressing on the brain. The small piece did not require a silver plate and will grow together.
