Sudden death of William Napton at home
William Barclay Napton, 14 year old son of Judge W S Napton and Melinda Williams, died at about 6 p m Monday December 16 of apoplexy at his East Arrow Street home. He had been ill days earlier. Born January 8 1459 the Missouri boy attended the University of Missouri briefly before private tutoring and law studies with his father. He accompanied his father on early ventures, helped operate a Montana quartz mill, practiced law in Kansas City, and later readied at Shelby Place, Baline County. He survived by four living children Frances Susanne John and Roberta and many relatives. The Napton family notes a long, turbulent history with distant connections and a Bishop confirmation in 1691. The family history marker ends with the seventy fifth year.
