Mrs Addie Wingfield Pyle died at her brother in law Wm Majors home one mile northeast of Longwood on Saturday morning August 45th aged about years. Mr and Mrs Pyle had lived in Oklahoma and returned three weeks ago. An operation for cancer failed to save her. Undertaker P M Walker attended burial services at Longwood Methodist Church.

Henry Oerding died in Sweet Springs on Thursday following a paralytic stroke two days earlier. Born in Germany October 2, 1835, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1907 and lived in Saline County. Surviving widow, four children included John and Leo, both of Sweet Springs. A Lutherian church lifelong member, he lived a Christian life. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, led by Rev. C. Bernthal, with burial at Fairview.

First Sale Sparks Satisfaction At Fairville Auction
The Wm Schoppers sale at Fairville Tuesday marked the first large sale in some time and the market unsettled earlier. Prices pleased attendees with hay selling at 13 to 15 dollars per ton and corn at 62 to 70 cents a bushel. Building the Capitol by a state commission board plan for Missouri
A proposed state capitol commission of four members two Democrats and two Republicans will be appointed by state officers to supervise the building project. It requires four votes to select commissioners and each serves up to ten days a month at twenty dollars per day. The first duty is to select a complete construction plan within a three million dollar appropriation, with a competitive bid process and preference for Missouri granite and labor. The design must be fireproof and ready for occupancy by January 2015, with a four year construction horizon.

The Central Route executive committee met at Buff to canvass the situation with reps from Malta Bend Lexington Glasgow Marshall Boonville Columbia and others.
