Richard Campbell Dies at 65 in West Boyd Home
Richard Campbell died at his home on West Boyd Saturday noon after a several months illness. He was an old city resident and survived by eight children. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday morning and the remains laid to rest in Mt Horeb cemetery.

Close Call Rescue From Well Near Little Rock
Henry Ellis of Jesse Hensick's employ near Little Rock nearly died Tuesday July 25 when cleaning a well. He became paralyzed and could not grip the rope. Hensick descended, tied the rope, and hauled him up. Ellis recovered, suspects bad air caused the incident.

Napton Camp 4002 M W A hosted its first annual picnic at Whitton Springs last Thursday drawing an estimated crowd of 2000 or more with two trainloads from Meyshall. The event raised about £76 for the Witton Springs Association and featured contests and prizes from Log Rolling to a three legged race with multiple sponsors and winners including Napton Camp, Nepton Camp, and local businesses.

Man Injured as Horse Kicks Farmer Near Herndon
James Finley of Range Line Church vicinity near Herndon suffered a broken leg last Wednesday when a horse kicked him. He dragged himself to his home, called neighbors for help, and Dr. Smith of Houstonia treated his injuries.
