Uncle Fee Gilliam, a prominent longtime resident, died at his daughter's home in West Marshall Monday at 1 15 a m aged 96 years 9 days. Born Prince Edward County Virginia March 39 1614 he settled in Cambridge Saline in 1835 and built a mercantile and milling career. Survived by wife Mary Swinney and children Mrs George Young Mrs Marcellus Hughes Mr W E Parrish Mrs P A Franklin and Madison Gilliam. Funeral at home Tuesday 9 30 a m and service at Gilliam church conducted by Rev F B Gordon. Interment Cambridge Cemetery.

Mrs M A Rumans Dies After Long Illness
Mrs M A Rumans wife of James W Rumans died at home on West North Street Sunday after a long illness. Undertaker Walker sent the remains to Hazel Grove Church near Herndon for services conducted by Rev D C Bolton at noon, then interred in the cemetery. Survived by husband and three sons Chas Frank and Calvin.

Patrick Daly Dies at 72 in Weet Jackson Residence
Patrick Daly, longtime resident of the area for thirty years, died at his home on Weet Jackson Saturday morning at age 72 after a long illness. He is survived only by his frail wife. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Sunday at 2 p.m. under Father O Nell, with burial in Ridge Park cemetery.

A county wedding was solemnized at the bride’s home near Wanamaker on Wednesday April 3. James Earl Claycomb and Gwendolene Walker were married with Rev. Arcile B Jackson officiating. Fires destroy two properties near Marshall in weekend blaze
Saturday night a fire at the Put Condon place near Colony, now owned by Wm. VanWinkle, burned the residence and contents though loss was modest and partly insured. Sunday afternoon Theodore Staub, northwest of Marshall, reported a barn blaze consuming a horse and stored fodder. insurance valued at about 600 covered part of the heavy loss.
