A number of residents visit relatives attend church events attend meetings and report on High School Boys Soccer and Kenton High teams playing Crandall with a 2 0 local girls volleyball win.
Isabella News F O and Mrs Bud Kelly return to Ottawa after two weeks with the D Bell and W Kelly families. Visitors include Mr and Mrs Syd Coxworth Souris Mr and Mrs Cecil Coxworth and Wade at the J Coxworth home. U C W meeting at Mrs Al Clark home. Thankoffering devotional led by Mrs Russell Clark. Fowl Supper date discussed for October 18.
The Manitoba Department of Agriculture and Conservation will terminate ram and boar rental policies effective October 31. Boars were rented for eight dollars annually, with 103 rented. 380 rams are currently on rental. The policies aimed to promote high quality breeding stock as swine improvement shifts to total herd.
The B Tarifty branch held a reorganization meeting Friday September 13 with 9 members 7 mothers and 4 visitors present. Planned work for the year includes four members taking clothing duties and three hands assisting.
Wilma Sparks pursues a Brandon Technical School business course. Mrs. A. Gurr receives therapy at Assiniboine Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Powell of Flin Flon visit the Martins. W. I. bake sale and tea support Children’s Aid Society. J. E. Reynolds and Roy Luce return to Vancouver with Jack Reynolds. J. Morton back to Winnipeg General Hospital for leg treatment. Mrs. W. E. McDonald home from Winnipeg after a broken leg. sister Mrs. Hurlbert visiting. George Colby renews acquaintances. Miniota Fire Brigade attends Hamiota fire school learning firefighting and rescue. Hugh Gibbon butterfly and moth collection gifted to University of Manitoba. on display in Room 204, Animal Science building.

Canada thistle is under control while Kochia rapidly spreads, forming tall dense patches on stubble and summer fallow fields. Officials warn it could become the worst threat to farming districts and urge immediate recognition and destruction of the plant.
