Bus Tour to the Peace Gardens and Border Landmark
A Golden Ager bus excursion from Park Residence led by Lorne Judd toured through Sioux Valley, Souris, and across No 1 and No 2 Highways to the Peace Gardens. The trip featured a guide tour on the American side, visits to the Peace Chapel and Carillon, lunch at the Eric Willis Memorial Centre, and stops at Tommy Turtle, Boissevain, and Miniota before returning home.

Women's volleyball returns in Hamiota with casual weekly sessions in October. In Miniota, ten people are enrolled in a Winter Ceramics Program starting mid October. contact Murray Bell. Miniota Drop-In Centre Board plans cribbage tournaments whist drives and adds old time movies, dances, crafts, and a weight watchers program. The RM Miniota Golden Agers celebrated 10th anniversary with 69 attendees, lunch by Beulah W I, hymn sing, speeches, games, and reminiscences. Harding Ladies urged to register for Advanced Tailoring with Knits or Advanced Crocheting. numbers limited. Kenton Community Hall signs up for Macrame, Bead work, or exercise. Interior Design Course now nine registered, six weeks in October and November, open districtwide.

Manitoba MP Craig Stewart wed Audrey Johnston in a private Aug 23 1976 ceremony at Knox United Church Chapel Brandon. Stewart, 48, MP for Marquette, widower with five children. Audrey, daughter of Clarence Curry of Manitou, widowed with six children. They will live in Minnedosa, where Stewart was deputy mayor before his 1968 Marquette election.
