Manitoba Job Creation Program funds aid hospitals and care homes
Manitoba patients and residents will gain more recreational and cultural programs this winter under the 1977 78 Provincial Job Creation Program. A $1 million institutional maintenance and service component will fund extended maintenance and outreach programs with grants mainly for labor, administered by the Health Services Commission with the Provincial Job Office. Eligible participants must be unemployed and registered or have a month long unemployment declaration. casual work is ineligible. About 1000 man months of employment are expected from December 1, 1977 to April 30, 1978.
