Miss Helen Long of Winnipeg spent the past week visiting her parents Mr and Mrs Gordon Long prior to school opening. Debbie Armitage attends Red River College Winnipeg for Practical Nursing. Ruby Currie broke her kneecap in a fall while visiting her brother Brodie Currie. The Currie Lazenby wedding at Reston on August 25 drew Brodie Currie Ruby Potter Mac and Pat Leland Allan and Marge Armitage and Charles and Rae Armitage. Greg Nash attended Dunc McCallum Summer Hockey School in Brandon. Mr and Mrs Reg Thompson of Winnipeg were guests at Ivan Armitage home last week. Several locals attended camps at the International Peace Garden this summer. Mr and Mrs Ernie Preston and family spent the weekend at the Argue home after a coast trip. Cpl and Mrs Leonard Morgan visited his parents Mr and Mrs Bill Morgan. Mr and Mrs Robert Paton of Shelburn Ontario holidaying with their son-in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs Pat Dales. Mrs Gil Dupius and Rojeanne of Winnipeg spent past week with Joan's parents Mr and Mrs Westeland. Mrs Jim Henderson and family returned from a holiday trip to the West Coast. We note a long weekend visit by Mr and Mrs J Paull of Fort Saskatchewan Alberta.
