Mrs R Gow and daughter Ethel of Calgary visit at the home of Mr and Mrs Peter Gow. Mr and Mrs Dave Miller and daughter and J B Stewart of Winnipeg visit at the J W Stewart home.
On Sunday September 7 1947 morning prayer and sermon and Sunday school will be held at 11 30 a m conducted by the rector.
Alex Mackean joins the Miniosa N R section as first man. J Middleton Yarbo and daughter Mary visit Jim Walker home. Weekend visitors include Wm Spalding M Milray Dorothy Woods Vic Richards and Alex MacPherson. Stan Ford to patrol elsewhere. J R Lynch and Kallie visit Winnipeg. Mrs A Spalding with Mrs Lynch met J D Shaw of Wallaceburg Ont. Wheat Board grants Miniota open point for deliveries. no delivery quota now at 10 bushels per seeded acre. Correction: earlier figure wrong. actual loss estimated 75 000 bushels.
Rural towns and cities alike rely on rest rooms for ladies. funds come from grants and donations, with volunteers and a paid caretaker maintaining a clean facility. The Miniota Village Committee recently provided ten dollars while residents contribute fuel and cash to keep the project alive.
