The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held a Crandall meeting on Thursday August 20 1970 at 8 p.m. Attendees list includes Fulton Waddell Rapley Fouillaird Falloon Butcher Lewy cky Hyndman Randell Hames and others. Motions approved corrected minutes changes and payments plus personnel for division bus drivers and a carpet conditioner purchase. Adjournment at 11 30 p.m. with next meeting set for September 3 1970.

Miss Dorothy Slaughter of Winnipeg and Mrs. S Barnes left Saturday for a motor trip to Detroit Lakes and Minneapolis returning via Winnipeg where Mrs Barnes will visit daughters. Dr. and Mrs. W J Arnold of St James spent the weekend with Mrs. D Sutherland. Frank Gardham of Winnipeg visited his grandmother Mrs L Gardham en route to Foxwarren, with other visitors including Mrs H Gardham Marilyn and Lori. The Varish family, Judy and Richard, visited Mrs Hemphill. Visitors to Mrs Grace Jory’s home included Mr and Mrs Howard Reynolds, Mr and Mrs Hudy of Port Huron Mich, Mr and Mrs W Baxter of Hamiota, Grant Whyte Jean and Bennie Sutherland of Brandon, Jack and Mae Roberts of Shoal Lake. Mrs Delbridge and Mesdames Baldwin Campbell Sutherland Gardham Bardwell visited Mrs Allan Armitage of Miniota. Bardwell stayed a few days. A drive with Mrs Armitage to see the miniature church at Uwo Creeks is noted. Sympathy is extended to Mrs M E Hill on the passing of her sister in Vancouver B C. Mr and Mrs Bert Baldwin and children with his mother visited Uno Valley to see the old Blains Church. J Smith noted Miss Lorna Roberts of Kenton, Mr and Mrs Bill Holland of Kenton, Mr and Mrs Henry Johnson and Miss Daniels of Oak Lake.
