Local social rounds list visits among area families. Edmonton guests include Mr. and Mrs. A Pressy and Wes Shurvell groups. Winnipeg visitors stay with A Armitage and Leland households. Jean Mills honored before Minnedosa departure with gifts.
Francis Shirley Steuart and David Allen Brooker wed August 21 at Beulah United Church with Rev S A Walmsley and Rev K R Murdoch officiating. Attendants wore rose sheer over taffeta gowns. reception in Beulah hall with toasts and corsages. Out of town guests came from Winnipeg Toronto Calgary and more.
Christian Education committee met at the school on Web 25th for 1965-66 Sunday church school plans. Regional visitors included Mr and Mrs Gordon Grey and several Winnipeg, Louix Look Out, Shilo, and Hamiota residents. Travel narratives cover trips to The Pas, Churchill, Carrot River, Cranberry Portage, Flin Flon, and Banff with mentions of hay growth, Holstein herds, and family milestones.
Crandall residents hosted guests including Mrs Wm Whitney and Mrs Ernest Johnson of Toronto and Mr Jim Beer and family from Calgary. Winnipeg visitors joined Mr and Mrs Morgan Johnson and Mr and Mrs Grant Bridgeman for a weekend visit. Crandall United Church services resume Sunday September 5 at 10 am.
Isabella News notes visitors last week including Mr. and Mrs. Jack Heise and Mrs. Branson with Heather of Winnipeg visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Heise. Also Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kennedy and son Terry of St. Vital visiting friends. Jas Beer of Winnipeg and Willie Beer of Calgary visited Mrs. J. T. Finkbeiner with others from Toronto.
Isabella Community Centre hosted August 26 a mixed shower for Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Campbell and a farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Reg Attwood who move to Miniota. Gifts and corsages were exchanged, with thanks offered by Rodney and Mrs Attwood.
Mrs. R. E. Heise and Mr. Gordon McCallum hosted guests with J. E. Finkbeiner and family. Jan visited Winnipeg for a secretarial course at Success Commercial College. Regina visitors, the Armbruth family, vacationing with Mrs. Harrison, accompanied by Joe and Bob to visit Ken Harrison. L. Wright and David joined residents at Portage, with Mrs. D Wright returning home to Winnipeg.
Beulah community news recounts visitors from Calgary Regina Toronto and Saskatoon. Beulah School opens September 1 with 68 pupils taught by Lorrain Pollock Katherine Armstrong Thelma Smith and Miss.
