The Miniota horse auction on Wednesday fell short of expectations as the first horse sold for 55 dollars with no further bids. Two horses were sold privately while the Chautauqua committee at Minnedosa raised 300 dollars above their guarantee, donated to the hospital.
Mason and Risch Piano Tuner will visit the district shortly. Anyone wanting pianos tuned should leave orders at The Herald Office.
On Tuesday November 20 nomination day is noted with four entrants in an October handicap race held Thursday afternoon. Competitors include Al Clark John Wiggins W Brown Moosomin and J W Warren driving Mrs A Stewarts horse. Al Clark won the race and a rematch is expected this week with a horse blanket prize of five dollars donated by Mr Brock.

Hainsworth supported proposal. a convention in Hamiota on November 10 invites residents of Miniota, Hamiota, and Blanshard to discuss roads schools and agriculture funding. Public participation urged to shape policy before elections.
