Local election in Archie tilts 4 vote margin for beer sale
An Archie vote ended 245 to 249 with the wets winning by four against local beer sales. Manitoba Pool Elevators Assembly convention in Winnipeg was attended by Wm Williams. Geo Ogston visited Strachan before heading to Vancouver by plane from Regina. A social at Parkissimo lodge featured progressive whist, lunch, and musical items chaired by David Russell. Sympathy extended to Mr and Mrs H Melintosh of Rapid City after their son's death. Miniota United MS met for Thankoffering with Bible readings and a project to aid Winnipeg visitors to brighten homes for the aged. Tea served by Mrs Chalmers.

The Minnesota United church held anniversary services with decorations of plants flowers and produce. Professor Bexton of Beandon College preached and sparked thought. The choir offered the musical program and the ladies provided a large reception. A closing concert pleased attendees.

Junior Boys Seed Club Fair Friday at Miniota
The Junior Boys Seed Club Fair, sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, will be held Friday at the Miniota Community Centre. About 60 club members will set up booths and exhibits in the morning with the fair open to the public 1 PM to 5 PM. Government and Live Elevators Co. speakers, prize awards and tests announced. The W I will serve meals at the United church parlor. A Monster Hallowe en Dance follows the picture show in the hall.
