Local society notes from Miniota and area events
Mrs G Curry and children visited in Burrows Sask while Mr and Mrs W J Collier spent the weekend in Winnipeg plus visits by other local families. Five members attended the WMS Rally at Lavinia United church with 100 in attendance. The provincial president Mrs E Brown spoke briefly and guest speaker Mrs McKenzie. Reports were given by department secretaries and two discussion groups met on Mission Band work and program planning. A violin solo by Miss Donna Hunsaker accompanied by Mrs A McConnell delighted. Trust funds for the New Rink Fund totaled $222.89 with $1413.16 spent on rink repairs and labor costs listed. A general meeting of the Miniota Community Centre is set for November 6 at 8pm to organize for curling and skating season.

Minso ta School Board Revises Transport Fees and Staff
The Minso ta school board met with Dr. R. K. Chalmers presiding and approved transport rate changes for Arrow River Beulah Isabella Miniota Wynona and Pal merston Crandall. Insurance on school buildings increased for Isabella Beulah Arrow River Wynona Miniota. Miss Henriette LeGras resigned as Miniota principal and a new principal will be sought. Old Miniota building space rented to W A Robinson and W B Prentis at monthly rates. Next meeting set for Miniota.
