Silent killer theory prompts Washington CO testing posts
Acting Patrol Chief Roy F. Carlson says carbon monoxide in cars can slow reaction time and blur vision after 35 minutes to an hour. The Washington State Patrol launches a voluntary CO testing campaign with motorists stopping at patrol posts for air samples. Gov. Arthur Langlie visits a testing station as Lt. B. Rigg and Chief Carlson supervise.
