Snowbound Freight Collision Delays CN Train West of Mintota
Heavy snowfall and driving easterly wind delayed No. 404 a four hour late through freight heading to Mintota. It could not enter the siding in time, and an oncoming passenger train collided with the freight caboose, telescoping it and two coal cars that burned. No injuries were reported. the passenger train resumed to Winnipeg after the track was cleared.
