The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held a meeting at Crandall on October 14 1976 at 8 00 p m Trustees present included Butcher Huberdean Choptuik Lewycky Armitage Kreager Tolton Falloon and Shier. Motions adopted included appointing head teachers for 1976 77, approving Zone X MS SAA support, bus transfer requests, meal and transportation payments, adjusting Route 30, approving September 1976 financials, and cost reduction measures for power and heating. the board adjourned to October 28 1976 at 7 00 p m.

Manitoba and Saskatchewan motorists can have insurance claims processed in the province where the accident occurs starting October 1. The mutual arrangement allows drive in claims adjusting at local offices, with reciprocal service expanding to both provinces and expected to cut claims processing time. Ministers Burtniak and Whelan said the measure improves convenience for motorists and reduces adjusting costs.

The Health Centre Auxiliary met September 24 1976 in the hospital Board Room with 12 districts present. Minutes from June were adopted. Treasurer reported 3474.94. October meeting to feature regional rep Miss Doak. August stats show 85 adult patients 4 newborns 2 major ops 17 minor ops 118 outpatients 2 blood units used 5 transfers 26 mobile meals for 485 meals in 15 home care patients 130 visits 18 workers. Training for student nurse began in June and Ben McLean completed Gimli course. Accreditation re assessment occurred September 16. Supply committee bought 2 kettles. needs steam iron strainer counter pan and dish cloths. Blood Donor Clinic discussed. Ways and Means planned donor turnout. Next meeting October 22 at 2:00 pm.
