The Manitoba Agriculture Animal Industry Branch releases Records of Performance from Manitoba swine herds. The data include average backfat thickness at shoulder back and loin and days to maturity. Monthly copies go to the Manitoba Co-operator and local Agricultural offices to aid producers in selecting breeding stock.
The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held its regular board meeting at Shoal Lake on November 20 1969 at 8 00 p m. Trustees listed include Fulton Rapley Armitage Butcher Hames Randell Hyndman Waddell Falloon Selby and Lewycky with inspector elect Lazare Fouillard in attendance. Motions approved minutes of November 13 1969 and payment 2 for the Birtle Collegiate addition 58740 10. Centennial Committee named Failoon Lewycky Hames, to select its chairman. Meeting adjourned to November 27 1969 with addendum noting inspectors report discussion on St Lazare Foxwarren Miniota and Kenton.
A day long Manitoba Automobile Insurance Committee hearing is planned for December 1 in Brandon Council Chambers. Chairman Howard Pawley says local residents who submitted briefs will be interviewed. Sessions run 10 am to 12 noon and 2 to 5 pm, with earlier Winnipeg hearings and more in northern Manitoba anticipated.
Miniota A unit of the U C W met November 13 at Mrs Gordon Long home with 15 members and one visitor. Treasurer's report adopted. Prayer by Mrs A McKean. Newsletter on Alcohol Education by Mrs W Grant. Bazaar planned for November 22 at the rink and Christmas boxes to be packed December 19. Next meeting December 18 with Christmas program.
The November W I meeting held at Mrs Tennant's home had eight members. Roll call debated husbands controlling purse strings. Plans for Open House on December 6 were made. Jubilee souvenirs from England were received. Lucky tickets earned by Mrs J W Leland, Mrs Clegg, and Mrs W Lockhart. December meeting set at Mrs Les Leland's home with a gift for a mental patient. Lunch was served.

Park Residence report covers events from November. Mrs A Irvine Mr Gunson and Mrs Morgan Johnson attended a farewell party in Crandall for Mrs Johnson. The Golden Age box lunch in Minsota featured Gunson Sutherland Bardwell Irvine and Johnson. An Anglican minister led an evening with Mrs Castle at the piano. Mrs Barnes returned from Winnipeg after visiting daughters. Mrs Bardwell’s daughter and son in law visited from Winnipeg. D Sutherland attended her niece's funeral in Baldur. Hymn Sing drew twenty two attendees. Hymn book donors thanked. Mrs Henderson Collie and Baldwin attended Miss Mary Allan's birthday at Mr W Allan's home. Miss Sharon Henderson of Brandon and Miss Audrey Brooks of Roblin visited their grandmother Mrs Collie.
