A number from Miniota attended the Winnipeg Symphony in Virden last week, bringing local turnout and finishing the concert with a notable audience moment.
Brandon Hospital patients E J Spalding and Daryl McCaw receive care while Mrs Spalding stays by his side. Miniota W I held its annual meeting November 13 with 22 members. plans included a 4 H junior cup and a Tweedsmuir history project. Mrs Laird of Vancouver, eighty second year, remembered for Girl Guide support.
The Miniota G L T initiation, held November 18 in the United Church basement, saw Beverly Bryant Ann Armitage Barbara Craig and others receive pins while Helen Long Elinor Armitage and Ann Craig earned lanyards. The event featured a business meeting a game and lunch. Reports covered Cross work hospital aid and community activities including pole arts and a new women’s institute directorship for 1960.
Mrs. P. Haines previously served as win g assistant supervisor for the Robin Hood Electric Power Commission. The team now includes Ian Stewart and M. Curry at Forsyth's Miniota store as they work on Steam Iron Draw projects last week.
