Tenders Called for Hamiota Hospital Expansion
Winnipeg reports tenders are invited for expansion and renovation of the 25 bed Hamiota hospital with work set to start the first week of December. The $350000 project by Health and Social Development Minister Rene E. Toupin aims to boost winter and spring employment through an accelerated hospital building program. The former 1949 facility serves adults and children with nursery, lab, X ray, emergency out patients, operating room and obstetrical facilities and a public health nurse office. New construction adds 25 inpatient spaces, better paediatric and operating room facilities, expanded administration and reception areas, dining and kitchen space, and extra storage.
