Reverend J A Stephen and B A Miniota lead Sunday schedule with Sunday School at 11 a m and Evening Service at 3 30 p m at their Arrow River location. Arrow River also hosts Sunday School at 1 p m and Worship Service at 2 p m.
The note lists church activities with a Sunday School at 1:00 a.m. and a Byenseng and Sermon at 7:30 p.m. indicating a local worship rhythm and service times.
Local notes report Mrs G Brace visiting Winnipeg this week and Miss Doris MacPherson undergoing surgery in Miniota for an abscessed leg. Community events include Daughters of England visit to Brandon, A Y P A cranko drive, and an open air rink committee whist drive. Municipal finance shows strain with tax shortfalls and plans for scrub cutting work, gopher and wolf bounties discussed, plus school board debates on Geplochar and Glenlochar issues. Election set for Ward 5 and Ward 6 on November 22 with polling at Arrow River CPR station and Miniota Municipal Hall.
Wm Morton returned from a trip to Toronto. A house warming party was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Ames Gurr. The marriage of Margaret Bailey of Oak Lake to Horace McDonald took place. Edith McDonald and Alex Evans attended. A meeting for the Miniota New Rink project is scheduled at the Municipal Hall on Monday November 25 at 8 30 p.m. involving a financial report and related matters.
