Community Band Members Honored as Hospital Question Divides Town
After a Mission Band meeting, three members were thanked with jackknives and candy. A public meeting at Miniota Community Centre will discuss the Hamiota Hospital Area scheme proposing a central hospital with nursing units costing about 20,000 dollars and funded by debentures. Grants of 2000 dollars per acute bed or 3000 per chronic bed are available, with future needs for doctors and care across a large rural area.
