Seed allotment is low and can be bought under the Forage Seed Policy by contacting the office promptly. Remaining agricultural chemicals may be kept over winter with care, following label storage instructions. A guide lists heated storage musts for certain herbicides and seed dressings, while some chemicals can be frozen but must be warmed to return to original state before use.
Fifteen briefs were submitted to the Boundaries Commission at Hamatiota on October 29 as Remi Lafreniere led six commissioners, two staff and over four hundred attendees. Communities split over proposed shifts with Oakburn favoring changes and several groups opposing or seeking limited building until a school is built, while others call for travel considerations and equal opportunity funding.
The Canadian Red Cross calls on Canadians to donate blood at a clinic in Hamiota on November 13 aiming to collect 300 bottles. Since 1966 the local hospital has used 475 bottles, reflecting ongoing need for whole blood and plasma in surgeries and medical care. The Red Cross provides blood while the Hamiota Hospital District No. 7A Ladies Aid handles clinic arrangements. Blood donations save lives and support mothers, open heart surgery, and treatments for various diseases.
Mrs Julian of Morden visited with her mother Mrs T Bomford recently. Mrs F Gardham spent 12 days in Winnipeg visiting the Johnsons and attended her granddaughter’s wedding at Westminster Church returning October 24. Mr Frank Palmer and daughter Doris welcomed to suite 4. Services to Christmas with a different minister weekly at 7 30 p m. Mrs Foxton spent weekend with Bob Sunley and attended Decker church anniversary. Mrs F Bardewll attended the fowl supper at Isabella on October 28. Deepest sympathy to Mr and Mrs Vere Little and family. Seventy Halloween callers Friday. Mr and Mrs W Collie Regina spent weekend with Mrs Collie.
