Miniota Community Centre Holds Seventeenth Annual Meeting
The Miniota Centre's seventeenth annual meeting on May 6 reviewed a successful year at the rink with repairs complete including venting fans in the waiting room. The group approved purchasing one set of curling rocks this year and one each subsequent year until all ice sheets are equipped. Discussions covered hall improvements and future fund allocation toward a new rink project.

The Explorer Group leaders Mrs. L Wright and Mrs. Dave Heise hosted a dinner for the girls at Mrs Heise’s home on Friday evening. The group marked the 50th anniversary of 4H in Canada with members of the sewing group and the Decker Isabella call club attending the morning service on Sunday.

On May 11 1963 at Hamiota Hospital Miss Merna Bell drew the Cedar Chest ticket and Mrs B Lawrence Crandall won it. Heather Emerson Rivers Camp drew the second prize ticket Irene Smith Rapid City won the Doll. About 525 dollars was raised to fund curtains between beds in each ward. Hospital staff thank supporters for the project.
