McConnell Calf Club Tops Beef Clubs in Province
M Deveson reports 441 area members active this year with the McConnell Calf Club leading by assembling 23 members under Bruce Paterson and Ron McConnell. The club earned a purple ribbon and will receive the Winnipeg Livestock Exchange Trophy. Edwina Killoh selected for a 4-H exchange trip to Nebraska July 17 to 26, among 37 participants visiting Burwell.

The Wynona Ladies' Club gathered May 1 at the Wynona Community Centre for a Mother's Day Tea with guests from Elkhorn and Minot a. Mrs. F Bowles and Mrs. S Taylor led a song segment followed by recitations by Mrs. Wm Leary and Deb bie Gilchrist, a Dorothy and Kathy Taylor duet, and a dress button tally award for Mrs J Thompson. A dainty lunch capped the pleasant afternoon.

Miniota Council Holds Regular Meeting in April 1963
The Miniota Council met April 29 1963 in the Municipal Office with all members present. They adopted March 25 minutes, discussed letters from multiple agencies, approved several land leases and grants, and set tenders for fuel oil with a strict bidding rule. The meeting addressed Crandall station changes and Crandall fire engine maintenance. The Court of Revision for Electors Roll was scheduled for June 5 1963.
