Farm Notes on Keeping Fuels Clean and Safe

Guidance for farm machinery fuel and oil handling to prevent contamination. Advises buying fuel in short windows, using clean storage, draining and flushing tanks annually, installing filters, proper tank orientation, overnight condensation prevention, and regular checks for water or dirt. Emphasizes ventilation, proper disassembly only by a mechanic, and keeping a fire extinguisher on equipment.

Anniversary Celebration Held For Mr and Mrs A A McKean

Mr and Mrs A A McKean were honored on May 3 for their 40th wedding anniversary. Their youngest son Robert, his wife, and family from Germany returned from service with the RCAF. The event drew many relatives and friends from across the area.

CGIT Banquet Highlights May 7 1969 in Miniota

Mrs W Choptiuk of Isabella spoke at the annual CGIT Mother and Daughter banquet held at Centennial Banquet Hall Minot a Rink. Donna Horner led a Queen toast, Joan Taylor welcomed guests, and Pat Taylor toasted the Mothers. Mrs John Wiens urged regular meeting attendance and leader support. Lucille Goodwin praised the speaker. Graduates Joan Taylor Marilyn Wiens received gifts. Carol Armitage named to Camp Breton. Taps closed the event.

Liberal NDP leadership in Liberal and NDP parties

Reprinted Ramblings notes leadership changes as Gil Molgat and Russ Paulley quit positions. The Liberal and NDP parties face leadership gaps while the Conservatives retain Premier Walter Weir as the only veteran party leader in the next Legislature. Jake Froese is noted as secretary credit but with no House followers to lead.

Fourty three riders join Miniota Riding Club trail ride

The Miniota Riding Club held the season's first trail ride last Sunday despite damp weather. Forty three riders toured the community pasture. The wiener roast moved to the Neal home. An organization meeting in Centennial room elected 1969 officers Ted Morton, Len Draper, Murray Peel, and new board members Ian Fenty Don Haines Ed Gilchrist. Term completions included Draper Coole Hodgins. Jack Cook appointed point keeper with Earl Thompson and George Angell time keepers. Draper to serve as auditor.

Park Residence News Residents visit, funerals, and gatherings noted

People from Beulah Brandon Virden Winnipeg and surrounding areas are mentioned attending visits and events. Mrs Mitchell funeral attendance included Winnipeg and Arrow River visitors.
