They agreed to cooperate with the Vestry in cleaning the church and decide to hold the weekly half holiday in town cleanup as the auxiliary meets on the last Thursday each month. The next meeting will be at Mrs A Spencer's home.
A Friday night event by Miniata W1 drew a good crowd for a whist drive and dance to benefit the Dental Clinic. Prizes went to Mrs. Walker and Audrey Leland with traveling prizes to Mrs. Hawthorne and Jack Walker. After expenses, proceeds totaled 835 40.
On the Wednesday before May 12 villagers are urged to gathered old trees and spoil to build the coronation bonfire. The rounds aim to clean the town and collect materials for the fire with community cooperation urged.

Rev J I McNair to attend Presbytery at Shoalee this week. Rev J A Stephen of Birtle visited Rev and Mrs J D McNair last week. Mrs R Truscott of Chicago visiting her parents. Mr and Mrs Crawford and Mr and Mrs R Pierce, wintered at the Coast, back Sunday to visit Mrs WoP Wallace. Hospital now housed in former W Coburn residence with Nurse Goddard moved there last week.
Plans are made to observe the coronation with a souvenir for each pupil and child under school age. Mrs. Tlyndman presided over the W I meeting with 75 present. The program featured current events by Mrs. Collyer and a paper on medical hygiene by Mrs. T A Grey. A committee was chosen to plan decorations. Mrs. Decker reported on her meeting.
Members of the Advisory Board select delegates for upcoming meetings. Mrs. E O Hara and Mrs Hyndovan chosen as district convention delegates, with Mrs M Metell selected for the provincial convention.
Miss A Sucki of Winnipeg spent the weekend at home. Mr and Mrs Archie Craig of Winnipeg are visiting relatives in the district.
WP Sutherland dispatched a carload of cattle from the area on Saturday while Me Cook is currently roading another herd toward market.
Most farmers in the district have sowed wheat while some growers still have all fields to plant, with potatoes not yet begun. The region reports widespread seed coverage though a few fields wait on later potato planting.
At a Sunday meeting McNab opposed attending the presbytery session at Shoal Lake and the Winnipeg conference. W H H Kirton was named alternate delegate. The group decided to hold united services on Mother's Day May th.
Friends and neighbors gathered Saturday to bid farewell to Les Horner. The event featured dancing to the Ragamuffins and a leather traveling case presentation by Bo Sinclair after Keith Rutledge read the address. Les thanked guests for their kindness as lunch was served.
