Dated items report Heurs Hermiggs leaving for Toronto to take a new position. Mrs. Lindberg and family visit. Good Friday declared a public holiday with stores closed. Local rink hosts a mixed banapies event with prizes and 21 rinks entered. Municipal board discusses transportation funding, school closures, and Musical Festival participation. Next meeting to be held at the chair’s head.
After the Ledges Gordon meeting on Tuesday night members and escorts attended a Court Whist drive and dance at Mr. and Mrs. J. W Horner. First prizes went to Mr. and Mrs. T Long. consolation prizes to Ruby Currie and J. C. Bryant.
An invitation from Glenlochar Cribbage players invites Miniota players to a forthcoming tourney next week. It is suggested twelve players will participate and both sides express pleasure in accepting the invitation.
Mre A J Leland hosted the Girls Auxiliary of Holy Trinity church on Saturday afternoon. Music by Misses Spalding Coleman Hill and Spencer accompanied embroidery by Mesdames Watts Spalding and Olver. Lunch for about twelve followed and the next meeting is planned at Ikenhome on April 2 for all interested in the GA.
The Herald report notes the invitation from United v. P 8 to Anglican Young People to attend future meetings. The Vestry met Monday evening and while appreciating the kindness behind the invitation, they felt it wiser that church organizations limit membership to adherents of the church under which they operate.
A special Minnsota council meeting was held last Tuesday with all members present to consider seed grain supply for Craig-Taylors. Applications for seed oats and barley were invited with forms to be filed with the secretary by March 8, 1932.
A meeting of the school board was held in Miniota on Thursday last to discuss ongoing reforms and budget priorities for the district. Trustees reviewed enrollment figures and approved routine expenditures and calendar adjustments.
Members gathered in tasteful green decor as Mrs O Day chaired the event. The secretary reported 90 attendance all meetings since start. 157 varied articles were on display including a 100 year old cross stitch sampler and a 60 year old nightdress and cap.
The Miniata hall hosted a lively Achievement day with district sewing groups presenting their projects. Booths were tastefully arranged by the groups, drawing visitors on Thursday afternoon.
The Rural Municipality of Minigta announces a limited supply of barley seed for farmers. Applications must be filed with the Secretary-Treasurer by March 20, 1932. Farmers needing seed should visit the Municipal Office to complete forms. John Spalding, Secretary Treasurer.

The WA ot Holy Trinity church will hold a sale of home cooking and aprons at A J Lelands Hotel on Saturday March 26 from 3 to 6. Silver tea will be served at 15c a plate. Each person having tea will be entitled to a draw on a fruit cake.
A Harmony group presented in old and modern dress with a sketch titled Care of the Clothes. The display featured clothing items and backstage narration. Mars. Ames led organization work and thanked the ladies. Community singing followed led by Mrs. Rollins ending with tea.
United Stores Ltd in Miniota offers men’s navy blue chambray work shirts in air sizes for 75 cents each. Stock includes standard fits and basic sizing to meet shop needs.
Ivan Tennant visited Herman Warren of Crandall over the weekend as football baseball and tennis topics surfaced. After the St Patricks Concert a Crandall dance drew young attendees while Sunday school will host an Easter service with magico readings. The Intermediate hockey team visited Crandall Thursday and lost 7 to 2.
Bill Jackson sustained a severe cut to his hand after a milk pail injury on Tuesday. He was transported to a doctor for treatment and observation.
The Sunday school plans a social evening in the church on Tuesday 29 with a committee promising a lively program and plenty of entertainment for attendees.
The church hosts The Challenge of the Cross pageant this Friday night under the auspices of the W. M. 5. After the pageant an address by the Pastor will welcome those soon to be received into church membership.
On Easter Sunday at 3 PM the United Sunday school broadcast will be aired in Brandon. Oliver will speak and the new carillon dedication in the morning will also be heard. Those without radios are invited to homes with One.
Saturdays train brought two pure bred bulls up the district bought at Brandon Fair last week. A 14 month old Shorthorn was purchased from Mr Ferdar of Pipestone by Mrs Wyness and a cards Angus from Mr Cummings of Strathclair by A Ross. These are exceptionally well bred animals and the buyers are to be given credit for their progressiveness.
A Friday night St Patricks event featured a varied program with solos by Islay Sinclair Lorraine Wiggins and others piano duet by Lorraine Wiggins and Sorothy Mitchell readings by Jack Craig and Rev J A Stephen and a talk by Mr Me TM A lively quartet performance The Sprites and a curtain with youthful talent including Jessie Mitchell Mattie Wallace Elizabeth McNab Issey Sinclair and more drew praise for the splendid program and the town’s young people.
