Golden Age Group Meets at Crandall in Miniota
The Golden Age Group of Miniota Municipality met at Crandall Auditorium last week for a monthly gathering with about fifty guests. Rev Bowen welcomed everyone, they played whist with Mrs W Bonner and Low Gents winners, followed by Irish songs by Diana Lawrence and Donna Smith. A lunch with an Irish touch was served, and Mrs Cook of Miniota thanked the hosts.

The Crandall 4-H Potato and Garden Club met March 14 1967 with nine members. A pledge roll call minutes and treasurer report were adopted. Funds of 15 to 4H Cub Council 10 to 4H Camp Fund and 15 from Pool interest. Bonspiel planned for March 18 Social Evening March 25 8 PM. Banks represented and guest speakers Syd Smith Winnipeg Personnel Dept and W McFaull Royal Bank Assistant Supervisor. Meeting closed with banquet at Miniota Motel.

Afternoon Unit UCW Holds Regular Meeting
Eleven members attended the afternoon unit of the UCW at Mrs. Westeland's home on Thursday March 16. Mrs. L Reynolds led worship "Go Tell" and a letter from Mrs. G Reynolds was read. Mrs. W E McDonald discussed stamp collecting to aid leprosy patients. A film titled By the King a Proclamation described Canadian church growth from 1830 to 1967, with commentary by Mrs. Frank Rowan. Tea was served by the hostess.

The UCW met in the Church School room on March 16 with eight members. Worship led by Mrs. Strachan. Last meeting minutes approved. Thank you notes read from Mrs. Reynolds and Donald via Mrs. Grant. Mrs. Armitage read a Fort Garry UCW report. Nield volunteered as assistant leader. Program on The Growth of the Early Church in Canada led by Mrs. Armitage.
