The notice solicits a trial order and is marked United States 114. The town hosted a Victory night whist drive and dance with Mrs. D. Cunningham and Arnold Walker winning whist. Door receipts of 50 dollars after expenses were used for War Savings Stamps via a patrons draw.
The Holy Trinity Anglican church plans a sale and tea at the former W. H. Hurlin store on Saturday April 4 from 3 p.m. Funds support church needs as aprons and tea offerings are featured.
Bernard Leary announces he has taken over the Imperial Oil Agency in Mintota and seeks cooperation for Gasoliffe and Oil business. Empty barrels are urgently needed and should be returned at the earliest to the new agent at 57 Mintota by the local community.
Restrictions on rubber will limit car pleasure use and ban long distance truck operation when railway delivery suffices. Retreading tires will be harder to obtain as the rubber shortage deepens. The aim is to collect all rubber items and urges farmers to repurpose excess cream cans and other containers to avoid shortages.
