The A.Y.P.A. held a sleigh riding party on the west hill Wednesday night with Mary Mossop directing arrangements. Ella Pascoe underwent an appendicitis operation at Miniota Hospital on Saturday and is reported to be doing well.
P. C. Watts attended a Chrysler instruction course in Winnipeg last week. Fred Bryant lies on Tuesday for Brandon where he will receive medical attention. Mrs. Gregory of Winnipeg visited during the past week with her ill father G. Hadden. The W. I. will meet Wednesday afternoon with a program including Roll call Irish Sony demonstration Potato Fondant competition Candy Vocal Solos Bernice Wiggins community singing hostess Mrs P. C. Watts. Miss Ethel Morton of Two Creeks began training in St. Boniface Hospital on March 1 after hosting a kerchief shower at Mrs. George Webster's home.

The Rural Council adopted several measures including 1938 tax and mill assessments, lease of A. M. Cox land with option to purchase, and grant of 15 to each village for constables. It approved old age pension for John J. Knowles starting March 5 1938, authorized a $100 pay for the village assessor, and set bids on Gopher Cop to ratepayers. A deed of Et plot 78 Crandall cemetery was authorized to Mrs M A Wyness. By laws 820 821 822 were read and passed. A government request to borrow 5000 for seed fodder was approved and a committee including Reeve Lynch and Councillors Taylor Sawyer and Coburn was named for fodder purchase and disposal. Next meeting at reeve’s call.
Mrs Waldie traveled Tuesday to Brandon for medical care. Ab Gowanlock's Glenboro rink captured the Dominion curling championship in Toronto last week. Manitoba has won the McDonald Brier Trophy eight times in the last twelve years.
Ella Conquergood daughter of Mr and Mrs A Conquergood of Willen married Alex Maw second son of Mr and Mrs Gordon Maw of Arrow River in Elkhorn on March 2 with Rev E S Dixon officiating. The Maw couple returned from their wedding trip and will live in the Arrow River district.
