The United Church Young Peoples Society held a Friday farewell hike to the valley with open arrival at the appointed spot. The event featured singing games and contests with presentations to the guests of honor. President L Reynold presented gifts and both honorees expressed thanks and regrets. A dainty lunch was served around a large fire before departure.

Sunday afternoon July 3 the sixth annual Sun day School Rally will be held at Blairs Church. Rev A J Radley will present the address and Mrs J M Elliote will speak on Isaac Watts Hymn writer. Brandon Fair Opens With Special Fares and Band Contest
Brandon Fair opens on Mone day with July 4th fares on the C P R of 3 35 round trip from Miniota. Tuesday train runs to 10 45 p m to let visitors enjoy the fair. A band concert for smaller towns is Friday of Fair week with ten entries already received and room for more.
