District Happenings Visitors And Family Trips
Don was a visitor for a few days with her mother Mrs. E Martin and brothers Donald and Terrence. Mrs J E Finkbeiner is spending the week in Banff Alta to attend the National Convention of the W I. Mr and Mrs Donald Still of Flin Flon were visitors during the past week with the former's brothers Glen Ray Dale and families also with his father Peter Still who is a patient in Birtle Hospital. Mr and Mrs Gordon McAllum of Roland were recent visitors with the latter's sister Mrs R E Heise and family. Harold Reid of Winnipeg was a visitor for a few days at his home. Mr and Mrs Wayne Smith of Brandon were visitors during the weekend with the latter's parents Mr and Mrs Ken Clark. Mr and Mrs Don Biddle of Niji Islands are visiting with Mr and Mrs J Coxworth.

W I Meet Arrow River at Miniota June Meeting
The W S held a June 11 meeting at Mr and Mrs Robert Clarke home in Miniota with ten members and three visitors. They toured a museum display, agreed to sell pie and coffee at Jas Ironside's sale on June 27, and to sell the community centre grounds building. Wedding gifts were sent to Ruth Trout and Jim Hankin. Red Cross canvass completed for $54 and treasurer reported $100.25 in bank. Meeting adjourned after a mayer roast and social time, with thanks from Mrs Kevin Leland to Mrs Clarke.
