Son in Canadian Army Finds Brother Lyall’s Grave in Holland
Mr and Mrs T Leland learn from their son Russell with the Canadian Army in Coventry Holland that he located Lyall’s grave about 25 miles from his post. A photographic record exists. Enquiries confirm Lyall was killed instantly.

Mrs J P Beattie died suddenly while at work in her home on a Saturday afternoon, just before turning 68. Born Jane Parker Struthers in Kilmarnock Scotland, she came to Canada at age six and married John Beattie in 1896. Funeral at Miniota Cemetery featured hymns and remarks by Rev EF Egilsson. burial in Miniota. Surviving: four daughters Mrs Grant Elkhorn, Mrs W J Thompson Bircie, Mrs J Cook Miniota, Mrs D Cannon Winnipeg. two sons Allan Oregon and John Kenville. sister Mrs M Black Elkhorn. 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
