Winnipeg funeral after fatal eastern Star trip crash
Wm Dart travelled Friday to Winnipeg to attend the funeral of his sister in law Mre Frank Dart killed in a morning crash ten miles east of Portage. The driver Sir Hacking also died as their car hit a Brandon bound truck. Mrs Dart sat behind the driver. Funeral held Monday. The accident resembled last summer’s Shoal Lake Hamiota crash.

Community Memorial service planned in Miniota June 21

School Trustees Meeting At Beulah
The Beulah trustees met on Saturday to approve teachers' salaries paid monthly at one fifth of annual pay with balance due at year end. They adopted estimates of 49 395 and referred them to rural committee. The school will close Friday June 26 and reopen Tuesday August 25.
