The Minteta United Church Young Peoples Society staged the three act play My Irish Rose in Mini eta hall last Thursday night to strong approval. Director N. Woods received a handsome smoking stand as thanks. A double trio provided selections and Miss Ina Cornish played piano with Mrs J R Lynch and Miss Phyllis Dorward as accompanists.

Rural Council Minutes from Miniota Meeting
The Rural Council of Miniota met on Thursday approving share of inter municipal boundary road work south of band 6-25 by local teams and equal ratepayer contributions. They denied a bounty on wolves and kept the 1930 auditors report open for ratepayer inspection. They accepted Burgess batteries at 364 subject to sales tax and approved relief for W E 16 Little under the Soldiers Taxation Relief Act. Applications for graveling at schedule rates were invited with June 15 deadline and arrears retained from half earnings. Taxes up to July 1 with 1 percent monthly penalty were authorized. Next meeting set for June 15.
