He criticizes Premier Walter Weir's administration and says the current session was wasteful and costly, forecasting a fall special session to finish legislation and a cost over 1.5 million dollars. A 14-member Oakburn Shoal Lake delegation spoke on education and school issues while minutes from May 22 1969 were approved and personnel moves noted including principal changes at Birtle Elementary and the Board's request to employ wives of trustees as teachers.
The Hamiota Hospital district Ladies Aid met in the community room with Mrs. Wm Hedley presiding. Nine districts were represented as minutes were read and approved. Financials show $56.80 from the bake table and a $90.05 total, with a ledger bank balance of $1726.56. Four practical nurses are graduating in June from the Hamiota Hospital and several members made reports from events at Brandon and Rivers. The supper meeting is set for Friday June 27 at Beulah with Mrs. Wood as guest speaker on arthritis and rheumatism.
Regina visitors include Mr and Mrs W Collie and family and Mrs Lowe of Kenton with Crandall guests. Rivers residents Don Paddock and others visited Mrs Robertson. Arrow River trip with Sutherland and Craik. A Sunday Hymn Sing drew praise and questions about Winnipeg move. Scotia Ladies Club gifted a dining lounge mirror. Miss Jean Morrice of Flin Flon visits Grandma Morrice. graduation set for June 8 at Grand Forks.
