Farm Notes on officers and rapeseed harvest tips
The minutes note Toby MacDonald’s resignation as treasurer with Mary Cloake appointed to replace. Catering costs from the Kelly wedding netted 139.11. A rapeseed harvest study by A J Pittman advises swathing at about 30 percent seed color change, argues for high swaths, careful combine settings to minimize seed loss, and wind-aware adjustments. Topdressing with nitrogen should occur early, before boot stage, with rates 20–50 pounds per acre depending on soil, and caution on foliar injury and weed growth.

Inexpensive Draperies From Glass Fibers Promises Value
Community inquiries focus on economical draperies and fabrics. Glass fiber draperies offer sunlight resistance and durability though abrasion resistance is limited. Cleaning is easy but thorough rinsing is essential to avoid glass particles in laundry and water. Combining glass with acetate improves softness and fold quality, with newer weaves reducing stiffness at higher cost.
