Weed Control Survey Highlights Heavy Green Foxtail Infestations
A rural weed survey lists Green Foxtail as the most infested species across fields, with 67 percent use of herbicides and 13.3 percent of Green Foxtail applications applied too late. Wild Buckwheat infests 95.4 percent of hectares, while many fields lack adequate herbicides for several species. Perennial weeds show up as a problem, with Amitrol T and Roundup noted for control during a Monsanto hosted tour on July 21, 1978.
