Birdtail River Board Meets at Shool Lake
Birdtail River Division Board held a meeting at Shool Lake at 8 p.m. with members Selby Fulter Reynolds Rapley Hunter. Correspondence included notes from Mr. Kup on Insurance and Sports and other items. Minutes from May 29 were approved. The board approved a $10 membership for the Birdtail River School Trustees Association and authorized two weeks caretakers’ holidays before August. An audience with Ian Brown Architect was requested about Kenton Collegiate roof defects. The board offered to buy Miniota property from C P R for 150 dollars and adjourned to June 26 at 8 p.m.

Mrs C S Coldman Dies in Beulah Area Funeral Held
The funeral for Mrs. C S Coldman formerly Maud Cooper was held at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday June 29 at 2 pm. Rev Pillings officiated. Born in Hertfordshire England in 1878, she moved to Canada in 1919, married C S Coldman in 1921, and lived in Beulah before retiring to Miniota. She is survived by her husband, two daughters Mona Daigle Saskatoon and K Caldwell Winnipeg, seven grandchildren, a brother Fred Cooper Uno and a sister in England. Pallbearers were Chris Elerington George Bruce Cecil Williams Wilf Hill Jim Morgan and Bill Morgan. Flower bearers J Horner and D Russell. Interment Miniota Cemetery.

Miniota C.G.I.T. Group Adopts Refugee Girl Yu Ming Ho

Memorial Day Service in Miniota Remembered
Rev. John G. Sloan spoke at the Miniota Memorial Day service held in the Community Centre on Sunday June 30. The honour roll was read by Comrade R. Schoch and a poppy cross was formed by Comrade Sparks. A massed choir led by Mrs. Ken Mitchell performed with instrumentals by Bill Stuebing. Wreaths were laid at the cenotaph and Piper Carnegie played the lament.
