Antique Reunion Brings Busy Day At Hamiota Fair Grounds
The Hamicta Pioneer Club hosted its 3rd Annual Reunion at Hamiota Fair Grounds on the June long weekend under Dr W K Hames leadership with the Kenton Majorettes. A Fast Ball final saw The Pioneers win. notable displays included old keepsakes taxidermy by Delmar Kirk and David Coupland and a 3 hp stationary engine from Ed Richards of Wawota. Attendance reached far flung signatures from North Dakota and Canada with music by Hank Norman’s Country Playboys and CKDM Dauphin’s Ken Stevenson and Al Pascal.

The Miniota W I met at the Community Centre with eleven members and one visitor. Mrs. Chas. Armitage presided as the meeting opened with the creed recited in unison. A Pot Luck Lunch followed and a donation was made to send a delegate to the U N Seminar. Delegates were introduced to the District and Provincial Conventions. Reports on the Isabella District Convention and Winnipeg Provincial Convention were given by Mrs. Armitage Long and Collier. Mrs. Goodwin thanked the speakers and all enjoyed the lunch.
