A special meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary at Holy Trinity Church met at Mr Ross’s home on Monday evening. Miss Millidge, the diocesan organizing secretary, spoke on the group’s aims and past year’s work. She noted branches in most parishes and missions of Rupert’s Land and continued traveling to assist workers.
The Church of England Picnic at Happyland on June 29 proved a decided success. Two Creeks won the football first prize while the second prize is under dispute. Praise goes to the ladies who organized the event and to Miss Ada Leary visiting town. J. Hines of Manitoba Hardware and Lumber Co. was in town on Thursday.
The Rural Municipality of Mimiota met at Turner's Hall on June 25 with the Reeve presiding. The minutes of the prior meeting were confirmed and motions covered land rights, tax reform, underground telephone lines, municipal hall location, road projects, central office changes, garnishee payments, and a committee to inspect a road and report costs.
A satirical verse mocks politicians with a plan to win support by denouncing opponents as liars, swindlers, and graft. It warns that attacking character and finances can sway voters and gain a parliamentary seat.

The marriage took place at 5 30 p m on Wednesday June 29 at the home of Mr RJ Kelsey of Manson with Rey Leishman officiating. The bride wore peacock blue silk with alecver lace. Attendants included A Burnand E Lowes Ettie Kelsey. A reception followed with many guests from distant areas. Mr and Mrs Lowes are noted locally and receive warm wishes for happiness.

Jack Middleton returns to Miniota to recuperate after breaking about 60 acres on his homestead. Ab Lelong loses a valuable colt this week. A scratch team from Arrow River played at Himiota on Wednesday with Himiota winning two goals to one. The scratchy ones took second money. Wm Evans constructs a 43 by 7 barn with up to date conver gence.
